Marion Ueckermann

Author Marion Ueckermann | The Mosaic Collection

God can take the blank or messed-up canvasses of our lives and turn each one into a masterpiece. His masterpiece.

Because I’ve seen it in people’s lives, I experience it constantly in the lives of my characters with each book I write, and I’ve seen and experienced God’s goodness and faithfulness and change in my own life.

You are so special to God—you are loved beyond measure!

As a teenager, I wasn’t rotten or a rebel, but I was the child who walked a little closer to the wild side than my siblings. No doubt I kept my mother on her knees during those teen and young adult years. But God always drew me back into his fold, always went looking for me when I strayed. He has given me more than I could ever have asked for—an amazing husband, wonderful sons, and three adorable grandchildren. That’s grace. That’s undeserved favor.

[Ueckermann] has a great depth and is filled with treasures of wisdom about life . . .  heartbreak, rejection, shame, unforgiveness, trust, cancer, adoption, healing, our identity in Christ, the quiet confidence that God really is in control and will work all things for our good because He loves us so greatly, and so much more. My only regret is that the story ended!

Favorite place to read
In bed. A real treat is to curl up on the couch on a rainy day with a book.

Favorite quote or Bible verse
Jeremiah 29 v 11:  "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Favorite character you’ve created
That’s a difficult one, it’s like picking a favorite child. But I have to admit, one does spring to mind first … Armand DeBois, a winegrower in South Africa. He’s just such a broken man who finally becomes whole again.
